Water, Sewer, & Trash Service
New Residents or Those Moving: Please print and fill out a Request For Service (Application For Utility Services) and bring to City Hall along with a $150 deposit if starting service.
For new homes being built, there is a water and sewer permit (Water & Sewer Permit Application) required that must be completed and paid before service can be started.
Water, sewer and trash are all included in the monthly utility bill. Meters are read on the 15th of each month and the utility bills are due by the 20th of each month.
A “Bulk Trash Day” is held on the 3rd Monday of May and November.
APPROVED items: household appliances, furniture, mattresses, grills, etc. Anything two men can reasonably lift.
NOT ALLOWED items: hazardous waste, biomedical waste, tires, paint, paint solvents, treated wood, non-empty aerosol cans, construction and demolition debris waste, compressed gas cylinders, large engine parts, small engines containing oil‘s or fuel, chemicals, large glass panes, any yard waste including, but not exclusive of, large tree debris, stumps, ammunition of any type, dead animals larger than 10 pounds and firearms.
ANY small trash needs to be containerized in bags, cans and/or totes. Any loose, small trash will be left at the curb.
