Marthasville City Government

The City Council (aka Board of Aldermen) is responsible for establishing policy direction for the city to follow on behalf of taxpaying residents and businesses. The City Council represents the citizens of the city. They introduce and pass city ordinances and oversee the day to day operations and budget concerns of the city.

A City Mayor acts as head of the council and enforces the decrees of the council. The City of Marthasville has an elected Mayor and four Aldermen, all of whom are elected by the citizens for two year terms.

The monthly board meeting is held the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall and is open to the public. View the agenda and minutes of the meetings via this website.
